As you may have realized, I haven't been writing because I'm kind of busy and never feel like writing the blog: So, this is the first entry completely written in original Whistler-Blackcomb gobdolas.
I enjoyed my first week of powder with my roommates and other boarders I met at the bus stop, the gondola, anywhere.
The second week of boarding was a bit harsher: No new snow and terribly cold: valley temperatures of -8 to -15°C, mountain temperatures down to -28° on the coldest day (and even coblder at nights). Thus, I had some icy tracks, and my wool-"scarf" froze to my face once. Nevertheless, I enjoyed riding very much.
Lately, I cooked something real for the first time in Canada: Maccaroni Gratinati; it was quite nice, although distinctively worse than when I did it in Germany. When buying th ingredients, I was worried whether or not I would find tomato paste ("Tomatenmark"): I was already choosing a tin of tomatoes when I saw some paste, the only one, in the bottom row. It was actually from a german brand (Gut und Günstig)and only described in German.

ReplyDeleteIch hätt' gern mein Gesicht gesehen, als ich das Tomatenmark entdeckt hab: Von "JA!, endlich" zu "WTF, Deutsch!?"...
