While my arm is getting stronger again and I sold my XBox 360 with a 70$ profit, I also bought a used XBox 360 in Germany (on eBay). I actually "won" a really good deal by getting into contact with the seller and he reuploaded it with an option to send offers and accepted the offer we agreed upon.
Sadly, I was not able to pay it with my phone, because mobile sites are d**ks and the app isn't allowed for german customers. At the library (for internet-pcs), I didn't have my bankdata on me.
So, I asked my roommates to use their macbook, and started the procedure after they finished the AFL (Australian football league)game, which their team won.
So i punched in my numbers, and while logging through eBay onto PayPal, then through eBay through PayPal onto my online-banking account, it processed and processed and processed, would let me reload due to safety measures and then:Oh, snap! I didn't have any internet connection anymore. So I checked my phone lying next to me with Vio in Skype, and the call was terminated. I quickly identified the problem to be between router and the internet (over cable) and started getting worried whether it would be possibly for an intelligent criminal to take over the connection, but knew I was save as I didn't enter a TAN. (And getting a TAN from someone and taking over the internet connection would be huge mess for some highschool-graduate's money)
We tried to figure out what the problem was and went through the textbook (and I was so, so sad, that neither my phone nor the mac featured "ipconfig" :-/ (who gets that one, please text me on skype or comment (goffo, if you don't get it... You will!)))
As all our efforts were futile, we figured out that it "may" be related to the fact that we didn't get any bills for it in the last 3 month, and went to the shop to pay up the next day, and it was reactivated, but still didn't work somehow.
We tried the standard stuff again (reconnecting, LAN-cable instead of WiFi, turning the router off for 5 secs, trying a different router...) and finally called customer supported with my phone. After spending 5 minutes waiting. After 20mins doing the stuff again with the supporter, we still only had a connection up to the shaw support center, but not to the web.
We ordered support to come tomorrow, but after saying goodbye the supporter said we should try resetting it from both sides simultaneously once more. The router started up again and heard a loud beep, and it did actually work! We wanted to tell him that it worked, BUT!: the beep actually came from my phone: my accounts balance was depleted! :-/
